Professional Information:

Prior to working with Partners in Change, Tyler worked with Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, MI, at the Leonard St. Counseling Center as the Recovery Manager. There, he worked as part of a team to direct community treatment for clients experiencing severe substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders, working from the office, community partners, and home visits. Tyler’s clinical experience includes substance use disorders, trauma and anxiety related disorders, depression, severe mental illness, case management, and working with individuals experiencing homelessness. Tyler approaches therapy through a Person-centered model that emphasizes personal strengths, and includes Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in monitoring and achieving their personal goals.
