Amanda is a licensed professional counselor. She received her Master’s in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY in 2022. Amanda is a National Certified Counselor. Amanda has 10+ years of experience working with teens including 5 years working with runaway and homeless youth both in shelters and foster care settings. Prior to coming to work at Partners in Change, Amanda worked in a hospital setting, primarily with older adults ages 65+ in intensive outpatient group therapy. Amanda’s approach as a therapist is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where we can take a collaborative and person-centered approach, assess what you need, and figure out together how you can feel empowered to thrive. Amanda’s primary clinical concerns addressed are: depression, anxiety, life transitions, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma processing, grief, religious trauma or spiritual concerns, low self-esteem, and borderline personality disorder. Amanda has a deep commitment to supporting her clients through all of life’s challenges.

Outside of work Amanda likes to crochet, listen to audiobooks and podcasts, listen to Taylor Swift (and tell everyone else why they should too), and hang out with her fiancé and their dog.
