Nicole is a licensed counselor and a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. She obtained her Master’s degree in counseling from Central Michigan University, working in a variety of outpatient settings after graduation. Nicole is clinically interested in treatments of individuals with overcontrol, anxiety, OCD and chronic pain. This includes exploration of individuals’ unhelpful beliefs and behaviors, while fostering attitudes of self-compassion. Nicole has advanced training in trauma focused- cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, exposure and response prevention, mindfulness-based therapy, emotional awareness and expression therapy and radically open dialectical behavior therapy.

Outside of the counseling office, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling and creating in any medium available.
